Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring for Personalized Strategies Towards Energy Consumption Reduction

In the era of big data, the challenge lies in the ability to analyze inputs and generate meaningful information. Embracing this fundamental approach, energy disaggregation field aims to estimate power demands for individual appliances, given the household's aggregate electricity consumption. Disaggregation outcomes provide further insights on consumers' consumption patterns and user's habits. Such information can be used in multiple ways, including personalized messages and load scheduling, promoting higher levels of energy efficiency in a house. A holistic approach to promote energy savings, through personalized messages, is presented in this paper.
