The Real Time Face Recognition

The effectiveness of different modifications of local binary templates was investigated in relation to the problem of face recognition in real time. It has been found that centrally symmetric local binary patterns are practically inferior to other variations of the LBP as recognition attributes, and at the same time have a much higher speed. Based on the study, it was concluded that histograms of centrally symmetric local binary templates are an effective feature for the classification of individuals in real time.
