Robotic Apps and Platforms: Mobility, Localization, Management and Security Aspects

The given paper was dedicated to the analysis of the most important up-to-date trends in robotics. The following four aspects are discussed: Mobility, Localization, Management and Security. The aspect of security can be specially divided into Data Security and Safety, as well as Privacy. The above mentioned aspects are very important for the conception and development of the performant robotic platforms. They have to be implemented under consideration of the efficient distribution models and analytics placement options within the cloud and fog environments. The problematics of the unmanaged and unstructured “Big Data” must be overcome by the actual robotic platforms too. Additionally, they are oriented more and more to support of so-called virtual robots.
