Optimal Energy Transaction Ledger Model for Microgrid Energy Trading

Nowadays, renewable energy plays an important role in producing electrical power. The energy distribution in microgrid is a new way to exchange energy between ledger and prosumers. The blockchain technology has been proven to provide security for the transactions in microgrid. The purpose of this paper is to present the model of energy ledger for microgrid electrical energy transaction and to simulate energy trading between ledger and prosumers. The simulation result shows the significant cost reduction on prosumer monthly electricity bill, varying by the level of solar cell and battery installation. Furthermore, in the future, the model can be implemented in the real microgrid system.
