Autonomous Decision-making for Satellites Surveillance

In this paper, a novel optimization method is proposed to solve the problem of satellites surveillance. A discrete-event system is described as a switched system, the switching law of which is obtained via the mixed-logic dynamic optimization. The solving method of switching law for a discrete-event system is applied to solve the surveillance problem. The process of decision-making is formulated as an event-driven process, and the decision sequence is obtained by minimizing the revisit-durations of the regions. Furthermore, the decision-making process of individual satellite is developed in the cooperative surveillance. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, and the benefits of the proposed method over the benchmark method are shown.
