Investigation of the Effectiveness of Electronic Transformer for Electric Traction

This paper focuses on the study of electronic transformers with an intermediate DC link. The evaluation of the electronic transformer efficiency for use in traction devices of electric trains is performed. The calculation and comparison of three electronic transformer circuits was carried out. According to the results of the calculation, the optimal scheme was chosen in terms of cost and efficiency.
