Thermal Data Fusion for Building Insulation

Thermal data has been employed in diverse industries for varied applications. Comprehensive information on land surface temperature is required to investigate the effects of thermal data due to climate changes. In recent times, considerable interest has been observed in the improvement of energy efficiency by detecting the heat loss of the facility and enhancing the insulation performance in the industrial and building facilities. Although thermal images have been used in wide-range, their spatial availability is still limited, as they are typically used in close-range. Accordingly, this study attempts to observe the high-resolution surface temperature of a large-scale facility using a thermal drone and analyze the 3D thermal insulation property. The 3D thermal model of the building based on the visible and thermal image fusion can be serviced as the vital thermal information of the facility.
