Construction and Simple Application of a Primary Electronic Nose System

Inspired by the principle of biological olfaction, the electronic nose developed by the combination of modern sensing technology, electronic technology and pattern recognition technology has attracted extensive attention in many fields. However, the traditional gas sensor based on semiconductor oxide needs higher working temperature, so the electronic nose is usually large in size and high in power consumption, which greatly limits the development of electronic nose. In order to solve this problem, our team has been devoted to the study gas sensing materials of colloidal quantum dots (CQDs), which can work at room temperature or near room temperature, and has achieved good results. We have independently designed a six-channel sensor array device based on CQDs gas sensing materials that can be used to identify different odors or gases. In this work, gas sensitivity tests were conducted on liquor, beer, coffee and tea.
