Measurements and Calculation of the Electromagnetic Response from Polymer Composite Materials Containing Carbon Fillers

The article presents the results of the study of the electromagnetic response from polymeric composite materials containing carbon fillers. The frequency dependences of the complex permittivity on frequency are given. Modules for calculating the electromagnetic response from materials on metal and in free space were implemented in the LabVIEW development environment. It is shown that a composite material containing 4 wt.% of a single-walled carbon nanotube is an effective narrow-band absorber at a frequency of 5 GHz with a thickness of 3.0 mm. Or it can be used as a shielding high-frequency radiation material at frequencies from 7 GHz with a thickness of more than 2.5 mm.
