Method for Reducing Inherent Current Consumption of Integrated Voltage Regulators on Bipolar Transistors

A comparative analysis of the energy characteristics of the basic structural schemes of integrated voltage regulators is carried out, taking into account losses in the control circuits. It is shown that the introduction of the dependences of the inherent current consumption on the load current significantly improves the energy parameters of the integrated voltage regulators within the range of small and medium values of the load current. The original circuitry of the proposed integrated voltage regulators with an adaptive static mode is considered, their work is analyzed. Voltage regulators of the considered subclass are designed to serve precision analog circuits (active RC-filters, operational amplifiers, analog-to-digital converter, etc).
