Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fibers Filled with Noble Gases: He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe

Due to long and diffraction-free interaction length and controllable dispersion, hollow-core photonic crystal fibers (HCPCFs), especially Kagome-lattice HCPCFs, can open the door to new possibilities in nonlinear optics in liquids and gases. We present a brief study on dispersion of noble-gas-filled HCPCFs and demonstrated how a desire zero dispersion wavelength and flattened dispersion can be tuned using core diameter and gas pressure in HCPCFs.
