A Verilog-A Based Vcsel Model For Next Generation High-Speed Interconnects

Electronic-photonic co-simulation plays an important role in optimization of next-generation optical interconnects. Toward this goal, a Verilog-A model is developed in Cadence to simulate high-speed VCSELs. The simulation is validated experimentally at 10 Gbps.
