Investigation of Countermeasures to Anti-Forensic Methods

Anti-forensic methods have become a deterrent to law enforcement agencies around the world as they seek to prosecute those individuals involved in cybercrimes. These methods and techniques contribute to complicating the process of investigation. This can result in the delay of evidence acquisition and compromise the integrity of the evidence. With the rise in the use of anti-forensic methods, investigators need to work continuously to stay ahead of the rising trend in internet crimes. The following work investigates some of these anti-forensic methods and seeks to summarize some of the countermeasures that can be employed by law enforcement agencies.
