Influence of Variable Frequency Starting Parameters on Synchronous Motor Starting

At present, permanent magnet synchronous motors are increasingly used in industry, military and people's daily lives. The commonly used permanent magnet synchronous motor control methods mainly include vector control, direct torque control, etc. These control methods are based on flux linkage orientation. However, it is difficult to determine the position of the rotor when the motor is started. When the initial position of the rotor is difficult to determine, the control strategy based on flux linkage orientation will consume a lot of energy and vibration effects on the motor. At present, the method for solving such problems is generally to control the permanent magnet synchronous motor as an asynchronous motor, and start the synchronous motor according to the starting method of the asynchronous motor. Since asynchronous motors have the characteristics of simple start-up and good performance, asynchronous start-up is widely used in synchronous motors. At present, the commonly used synchronous motor starting methods mainly include asynchronous motor asynchronous starting and synchronous motor inverter starting. When the motor is started, the starting voltage of the motor and the starting speed of the motor directly affect the starting performance, so it is necessary to select the appropriate parameters for starting. This paper mainly discusses the influence of the starting voltage amplitude and starting speed of permanent magnet synchronous motor on the starting of permanent magnet synchronous motor during variable frequency starting, and selects the appropriate starting parameters.
