Angular Stiffness of a Trunnion Joint

Angular stiffness of a trunnion joint is calculated; we take into account the elastic support. The equation motion is modelled, and the stiffness of the elastic support is considered, we find that the calculate results of the infinitely stiffness of the support is equal to the clamped support, while zero stiffness is simply supported, when the radio of the inner radius of the thin shaft and outer radius of the trunnion increases, the case of considering the elastic support condition is necessary, it may be useful in the calculating the rotordynamic parameters, such as critical speed, natural frequency of the rotor-bearing system.
