A Meta-Functional, Quaternary-Based, Mathematical Structuring of the Periodic Table and Its Elements, and its Implications for Management of Innovation in Pharmaceuticals Technology

Through a philosophical examination of the s, p, d, and f probability clouds this paper suggests a meta-functional, quaternary-based, mathematical structuring of the Periodic Table and its elements. Subsequently, different groupings of the Periodic Table and each element can be given a function-based mathematical equation. This paper explores a preliminary model for the derivation of such equations and suggests the utility of such an approach in further understanding the reality of atoms and consequently of molecules as repositories of function. Such a classification will have profound implications for the formulation of pharmaceuticals and add an additional platform to the management of innovation in pharmaceuticals technology.
