Variations of Light Ion Concentrations in The Surface Atmosphere During The Passage of Convectiv e Clouds

The results of studies in the atmospheric electrode layer variability during the passage of deep convective clouds, accompanied by intense “slow” disturbances of atmospheric electric field strength and heavy precipitation in the form of rain or snow were presented. It was shown that the passage of Cb clouds leads to: (1) the antiphase changes of air electrical conductivities; (2) the drop of electrical conductivity of one of the polarities and the growth of the conductivity opposite polarity, these changes are stronger, than the higher the absolute values of electric field strength; (3) the amplitude of oscillations conductivities at close values of electric field strength is higher, than the smaller the content of aerosol particles of suboptical range; (4) the fallout of intense rain shower leads to the negative polarity conductivity increase, and snow shower fallout leads to a consistent disappearance of light ions of both polarities.
