The Peculiarities of the Atmospheric Absorption in the Windows of Transparency in the Shortwave Part of the Millimeter Range for Measurements in the Area of Karadag

The results of the study of atmospheric absorption at the radio astronomy station “Kara-Dag” (the Republic of Crimea) are presented. The measurements were carried out in the summer-autumn period of 2017-2018. The analysis of data processing algorithms obtained by atmospheric cross-sections is carried out. The regularities of the changes in the parameters of the atmospheric transmittance and their relationship with climatic characteristics of the place of observation are investigated. It is shown that the existing atmospheric circulation creates favorable conditions for radioastronomy measurements at millimetric wavelengths and testing atmospheric diagnostics systems in a wide range of conditions on the territory of RAS “Kara-Dag”. The proposals on the configuration of the remote sensing system of the atmosphere of the millimeter range are developed.
