Modeling and Electrical Parameters Extracting of Polymer Solar Cells

The Polymer Solar Cells (PSCs) have gained increasing interest in the past few years as a possible alternative to silicon cells and could provide many advantages as a flexibility and low cost... The functioning of PSCs depends heavily on intrinsic electrical parameters through the knowledge of the influence of each parameter on the I-V characteristic of the cell. In this work, we determine the PSC's electrical parameters of the poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). This identification is based on the experimental current- voltage characteristic using a single diode model. The Least Square Method (LSM) combined with Levenberg Marquardt's algorithm are proposed to identify these electrical parameters. The obtained results indicate the importance of the proposed method and a high accuracy of the estimated parameters compared with the previous conducting studies.
