Study on Electromagnetic Scattering Characteristics of Inductively Coupled Plasma Stealth Radome

A quartz sandwich inductively coupled plasma (ICP) stealth radome model was designed. The finite element method and Z-transformed time-domain finite difference (ZTFDTD) co-simulation method were used to establish the fluid model of ICP discharge. Based on the spatial distribution of electron density associated with electromagnetic scattering, a Z-transformed time-domain finite difference method model was established to calculate the wide-band backscattering of the quartz sandwich plasma stealth radome. The results show that the inductively coupled plasma can produce a higher density plasma, which can effectively reduce the radar cross section (RCS). The plasma electron density peak increases with the increase of air pressure, but the uniformity will also change. difference. When the air pressure is constant, as the power increases, the reflectivity develops toward the high frequency and multi-band trend, and the overall attenuation effect increases. When the power is constant, the attenuation effect first increases and then decreases with the increase of the air pressure.
