A Wideband Millimeter Wave Antenna Based on SIW for 5G

A wideband millimeter wave antenna operated at 37.5 GHz for 5G mobile communication technology has been proposed. The feed mode selects the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), and grooving slots is used to increase the bandwidth of the antenna. Meanwhile, the whole dimension, 10 mm × 20.7 mm × 0.762 mm, is obtained. The derived radiation element was employed to improve the radiation effective. Finally, the proposed antenna was fabricated and tested. The result was consistent between simulated and experiment.
