Suppression Control of Lower-Order Harmonics of Input Current in Bidirectional Isolated Three-Phase AC/DC Dual-Active-Bridge Converter Based on Matrix Converter

This paper proposes a new control method to reduce lower-order harmonics of input current in bidirectional isolated three-phase AC/DC dual-active-bridge converter (DAB) based on matrix converter (MC). As a basis of the control method, the causes of the input current harmonics are analyzed and feedback control of output current for reducing the input current harmonics are explained. Finally, the validity of the proposed feedback control method is verified by experiment employing a laboratory prototype.
