RFID Based Battery-Free Sensor Node for Smart Railway Application using 3D-Printing Technology

In this paper, a battery-free sensor node based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology is presented to detect the variation of displacement transducer or temperature data. 3D-Printing technology with two different materials, dielectric-ink PCB and silver-ink, are employed in the RFID antenna. This RFID-based battery-free sensor node has been testified and its capability for Smart Railway application has also been demonstrated in this paper.
