Research on the Structure of Obstruction Block of New Wave Beam Guardrail Based on Collision Analysis

Obstruction block is a component between a protection plate and an upright post arranged on highway wave beam guardrail, whose main function is to connect the upright post and the wave beam plate, provide space for vehicle tires when the vehicle collides with the guardrail and reduces the risk of vehicle tripping. In this paper, the anti-tripping performance of obstruction block is studied by computer simulation, the anti-tripping function is increased by improving the structure of the block structure, and energy absorption capacity is increased. A ladder block structure is studied. Its anti-tripping performance and energy absorbing capability are improved obviously compared with the traditional hexagonal block.
