A highly stable and tunable Extended Cavity Diode Laser

In this work a highly stable Extended Cavity Diode Laser system (ECDL) has been presented which its wavelength can be adjusted to D1 absorption line of the Cesium atoms (895 nm). The ECDL, which consists of different optical, mechanical and electronic parts, is such low noise that can be kept in resonance on the mentioned absorption line for hours. This is while the system has the ability to be locked to an external reference, like an atomic transition line or a Fabry-Pérot resonator for even decreasing the laser linewidth. The implemented ECDL system can be used for many different atomic and spectroscopy experiments. For characterization of the implemented ECDL system, the Cesium absorption spectroscopy has been successfully accomplished and the obtained results are reported.
