Design and Implementation of a Low Noise Earth Field Proton Precession Magnetometer

A low noise earth field proton precession magnetometer has been implemented and characterized. The principle of the implemented system is presented and the obtained measurements using this magnetometer is discussed. The SNR of the magnetometer is more than 20 and its large spin-spin relaxation time achieve more than 2 seconds of NMR signal in a homogeneous background field.
