Research on Polling Based Traffic signal Control Strategy with Fuzzy Control

With the rapid development of social economy in recent years, the number of cars in the city continues to increase, and urban traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious. Traffic lights serve as an important tool for urban traffic control and play a key role in urban traffic control. Therefore, for real-time The research on traffic signal control methods is of great significance. In the research of this paper, we mainly discuss the control strategy and performance analysis of single-point intersection traffic signals. Taking the intersection of Changyuan South Road and Kunzhou Road in Kunming as the sample intersection, based on the VISSIM platform to build the simulation environment, a flow-based dynamic phase traffic signal control strategy based on the polling mechanism is proposed, which is mainly based on the traffic flow of each intersection. The division of the time period is based on a series of data, and the phase of the lane is dynamically planned in different time periods. At the same time, the fuzzy control model is used to dynamically adjust the signal timing according to the real-time road conditions of each time period, so as to ensure the smooth flow of the intersection.
