A Dynamic Programming Method of Calculating the Overlapping Allan Variance

The work considers a problem of calculating the overlapping Allan variance, which is the most common tool for analysis of stochastic errors in the output signals of accelerometers and gyroscopes. We propose a new method based on dynamic programming, with the purpose of reducing a waste of computational resources, especially in embedded systems. Investigation results and usage recommendation for the new method are provided.
