Considerations on Electronic System Compact Thermal Models in the Form of RC Ladders

This paper discusses, using the practical example of a hybrid circuit, various issues related to compact thermal models of electronic systems in the form of Foster and Cauer RC ladders. In particular, the process of conversion between these models is presented. Moreover, the problem of physical interpretation of model element values is discussed.
