A Preliminary Study on the Solution of Linear Systems Appeared in Gradient Coil Optimization

In the gradient coil optimization process, a dense linear system usually appeared during the optimization of gradient coil structures. The solution of the linear system is discussed in this paper for the optimization of cylindrical gradient coils in superconducting magnetic resonance imaging. Finally, a transversal gradient coil is designed and the efficiency of SSOR-CG and D-CG are tested for the solution of the problem.
