Hybrid Coupling Model for Terahertz Metamaterials: Design and Applications

This report introduces a hybrid coupling model within the framework of coupled mode theory for bi-layer metamaterials, which gains physical insight into the coupling and coherence effects. Two proposals for potential applications are demonstrated: one is coherent perfect absorption, and the other is high-performance terahertz sensing.
