Abstract:
This paper presents a comprehensive idea of an Automated Shopping and Billing Trolley system that utilizes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) with the billing side using Mobile Application. RFID technology offers the capacity to give numerous new administrations and comforts in the retail condition. It utilizes radio frequency to accomplish this. The framework comprises of a Radiofrequency Identification based trolley that communicates with the billing system that is the Mobile Application. The RFID reader examines every one of the product when product is placed in the trolley. This data is shown on the display unit that is on the trolley for the customer to confirm the product purchased and simultaneously check the cost of every item. The trolley will be connected with the mobile application through the WiFI Module (ESP 8266), the customer gets to see the items and the quantity of the items that have been purchased on the application. After confirmation of items to be purchased from the customer the application redirects to the payment page where the payment can be done by Card or Cash. Information is eradicated from the micro-controller memory after the customer has finished purchasing and makes the trolley available for the next customer. The proposed system is easy to use, low-prized and efficient. As the entire framework is becoming smart, the necessity of labour will diminish, along these lines profiting the retailers. More customers can be served in same time subsequently profiting the retailers and customers also.
