Broad Beam X-band Conical Choke Horn Antenna for Satellite Telecommand Application

A Novel circular polarized broad beam antenna is proposed at X-band for deep space satellite telecommand applications. This antenna consists of a circular waveguide with conical choke, septum polarizer and waveguide transitions. A conical choke is added to the open ended circular waveguide to obtain broad beam. This antenna is developed for satellite onboard receive application i.e. communication from ground to spacecraft during the various stages of mission life.
