Abstract:
A new structure of miniaturized half mode substrate integrated waveguide leaky wave antenna is presented in this communication. As the broadside radiation is a major concern in leaky wave antenna therefore umbrella shaped slot which consist of the combination of longitudinal and transversal slots are used as to get the broadside radiation. The presented antenna operates in a frequency range of 9.2 GHz to 15 GHz with a scanning range of -30° to +30° with a maximum gain of ~15.5 dBi.
