Predicting Domestic Electricity Consumption Using Data Mining for Rural Area of Gujarat

Prediction of Electricity energy consumption play vital role in decision, planning and policy making for any state-country. Creation and development of precise and good prediction model for performing precise prediction is essential. In this paper, we forecast electricity consumption using various data mining techniques. The data set that were collected for forecasting electricity demand are from amreli rural sub division area of Gujarat state. Time line of data is April 2006 to January -2018. The main objective of research is to analyze historical data to know the trends of electricity consumption and predict future electricity requirements. Domestic electricity load forecasting is conducted by utilizing Random Forest, Support vector regression (SVR), and M5P techniques and testing result shows that proposed model is promising and most significant for forecasting than the traditional one.
