Herbert Simon's Decision-Making Model with a Meta-Decision and its Impact on Business Intelligence Systems

This article presents Herbert Simon's model of decision-making with a meta-decision (purpose). In addition to presenting the reformulated model, it explores the implications of including this meta-decision, presenting advantages and disadvantages of taking it from a business point of view, and in particular in Business Intelligence systems.
