Demand Driven Dispatch: Research on Fleet Reassignment

Initial fleet assignment usually begins one month before a flight takes off, at which time the demand is real uncertain. In order to achieve a balance between seats and demand, our paper puts forward demand driven dispatch method, the main idea of which is to do initial assignment during flight scheduling and flight swapping with demand forecasting can be more accurate. This paper presents BP neural network-Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm to forecast demand based on DCP-3 accepted demand in Revenue Management System.
