Influence of the Vacuum Bag Process on The Strength of Laminate Composite

Composite materials are materials constituted for two or more components, which remain independent at the macroscopic level when they become part of a structure. Today the use of composite materials is very broad, ranging from use in small industries to large industries such as the aviation industry. This is because the material properties possessed by the composite are far better than the properties of the constituent material. In the process of making the composite itself there are two methods that are often used, including the hand lay-up method and the vacuum bag method, where the vacuum bag method is a method of improvement of the hand lay-up method. In this study discusses the differences in the strength of composites with the use of the same constituent materials but with different manufacturing methods, namely the hand lay-up method and the vacuum bag method. In this study will use the tensile test as a method to determine the strength of the two materials.
