ERP Implementation in the Oil and Gas Sector: A Case Study in Sultanate of Oman

Oil and Gas industry in the Sultanate of Oman has a vital role in the economic growth of the country. At the same time, the role of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in Oil and Gas sector cannot be denied. This research aims to study how the implementation of ERP system influences the efficiency and productivity of this sector. The qualitative and quantitative research were carried out to assess the influence of ERP system on this sector in the country. End-user feedback on the impact of using ERP has been analyzed in addition to the data collected from the literature. The study suggests that Oil and Gas industries should implement ERP system to boost its growth in all aspects.
