Design and Analysis of MEMS based GMI Sensor for Detection of Gastric Cancer Cells

The magnetoimpedance effect lead to the invention of magnetoimpedance sensor. But the applications in the biomedical field are still in infancy. The magnetoimpedance effect in soft magnetic wires and films has been abridged in this paper. The development in magnetoimpedance based bio-sensing application, which consists of detection of certain magnetic materials like magnetic ferro fluid, magnetic beads, magnetic nanoparticles and bio magnetic fields of living systems were outlined. A clear and detailed investigation on the moderation effect of biochemical liquids of the magnetic particles and the effect of stray magnetic field on the magnetoimpedance were investigated. Few positive approaches have been discussed for implementing the design of efficient magnetoimpedance biosensor. The results incur that magnetoimpedance sensors are very much Fitting for high sensitive identification of small mass of biomolecules of low concentration biomolecules, worthy for cancer cells detection in its budding stages.
