Estimation of stability regions of fractional PI controller for LFC of power system

The prime objective of this paper is to determine the stabilizing regions of fractional order proportional integral (FOPI) controller parameters for load frequency control (LFC) of a power system having communication delay. . Dynamic response analysis is carried out in MATLAB environment in order to investigate the performance of the proposed controller. The proposed method is compared with available conventional PI controller and is found to be more flexible.
