Operation Optimization of Train Based on Firefly Algorithm

Research on energy-saving optimization of train maneuvers can reduce train energy consumption. Firefly algorithm (FA) has the advantages of simple operation, better parameter and local search ability. Using the firefly algorithm can effectively solve this type of problem. The traction energy consumption of the train is taken as the objective function, and the mathematical model is established by converting the train speed, time, distance between two stations and working conditions into constraints. -350 EMU and Wuhan station to Xianning north road line. First, use the firefly algorithm to find out a train speed transition; then, use this algorithm again to optimize the speed in this interval. The simulation results show that the train energy consumption index is reduced by 20.60% and meets the requirements of safety and punctuality. Therefore, the firefly algorithm can achieve the purpose of reducing the energy consumption of trains.
