Suspension Optimization Design and Virtual Prototype Simulation Analysis of FSAE Racing Car

The design of the suspension system has a decisive influence on the handling stability, rider safety and ride comfort of the opponent's racing car. The front and rear suspensions of the car used an unequal length double wishbone suspension structure, which used its sporting characteristics to improve the directional stability of the car. Firstly, the suspension model was built by using CATIA 3D drawing software. Secondly, the ANSYS stress analysis software was used to analyze the bearing force and load of the important force-bearing components of the suspension, so that the strength of each connecting component of the suspension met the requirements. Finally, through Adams simulation analysis, the hard point of the suspension frame was taken as a variable, and the changes of a series of positioning parameters such as the toe value, camber angle and roll stiffness of the suspension were compared and refined. It provided a certain reference for the manufacture of real vehicles.
