Abstract:

This letter proposes a channel state information (CSI) component reconstruction (CSI-CR) algorithm to estimate the angle of arrival (AoA) of the signals reflected by human body, under the through-the-wall (TTW) scenario. Specifically, through channel parameter estimation, reconstruction, and cancellation, the proposed CSI-CR can separate the CSI of each propagation path and estimate the AoA of subtle human-induced reflection, which always submerge in static reflection and strong direct signal traveling from the transmitter to the receiver. Our implementation and evaluation demonstrate that the CSI-CR outperforms the existing algorithms in terms of estimation accuracy, detection range, and stability.
