MOPA fiber laser for photoacoustic tomography using arrayed ultrasound transducer

We introduce the implementation of a MOPA fiber laser suitable for photoacoustic imaging. The repetition rate of laser could be adjusted from 1 to 50 kHz and the pulse width from 10 to 70 ns. At a repetition rate of 5 kHz and a pulse width of 20 ns, a pulse energy of 160 μJ could be achieved.
