A Simple Model of Typical Conveyor System with DC Gear Motor

The paper shows the analysis of the DC gear motor and operating logic of the typical conveyor system. The basic mechatronic structure and operating logic of a typical conveyor system was described. The analysis of the DC gear motor was given, the difference of which from the common DC motor was also shown. The load torque of the conveyor motor was analyzed based on this specific application condition. The logic block diagram of all inputs and outputs components were shown. According to the mathematical and logical analysis, the model for simulation of the whole conveyor system was created. The obtained transfer process showed that the conveyor system operated well and the load torque only affected when the motor was running, which showed that the logic model for the load torque was reasonable.
