Development of Self-Tuning Control System with Fuzzy Compensation of Steady-State Error

The method for synthesis of the hybrid automatic control system (ACS) is proposed. This method is based on the use of the traditional relay-pulse control algorithms and the fuzzy compensation. The main idea and the novelty are to provide a self-tuning of the system by fuzzy correction of the reference signal and to reduce the steady-state error. The mathematical model of the ACS in MATLAB/Simulink is developed and the results of the ACS study are presented. The effectiveness of the ACS synthesis method for the heat and power engineering object is confirmed. The suggested method simplifies the initial tuning of industrial controllers and considerably improves the performance of technological processes control, especially in the presence of unmeasurable disturbances.
