Substantiation of Using DC Transmission with Developing Mathematical Model in Environment Matlab

The system of electrical power supply is characterized by the continuous growth of loadings. By transmission of such big power on the power line there is a problem with its limited throughput. In addition, at lines there are very considerable losses which need to be reduced. Today there is a problem of transmission of big capacities to a long distance where application of lines of a direct current is more expedient. These lines have a row of advantages before lines of an alternating current, however they have a certain perspective of a construction and also there are difficulties in case of simulation and design. The purpose of operation is: to prove feasibility of application of electricity transmissions on a direct current by technical and economic comparing, development of model in Matlab. In this article methods in case of most of which rationally to apply electricity transmissions on a direct current by the analysis of merits and demerits of two types of electricity transmissions, reviewing of a perspective are considered. Also, the article provides technical and economic comparison of two types of electricity transmissions with the further revelation of the boundaries of applicability of a direct and alternating current. Developing a model of an electrical power direct current system in the environment of Matlab which allows one to study electromagnetic and electromechanical processes in the standard and emergency operation of system operation is the result of the carried-out analysis.
