BLE Beacon Interaction Module and Mobile Application in the Indoor-Navigation System

Modern mobile technologies are used for communication, search and storage of information, navigation. The article describes the experience of developing a mobile application for indoor navigation on Kemerovo State University campus. The indoor navigation is based on Bluetooth technologies and uses BLE-beacon. The paper deals with the algorithm of calculating the amount of BLE-beacon and their effective location in a building. The algorithm uses the measurement of received signal strength (RSS). It is based on trilateration and Kalman Filter. We present the mobile application “My guide” for indoor navigation. It lets define a smartphone owner's location relating to the signals of BLE-beacon in an academic building. The mobile application displays the zonal map and constructs a path. Our work is devoted to the development of available educational environment.
