Secured Electronic Health Record Management System

The purpose of this project entitled as "Secured Electronic Health Record Management System" is to secure the database containing the personal medical record of the patient. There are lot of challenges in the maintenance of patient records in the current system maintained by the Health care providers. They are usually maintained manually and most of the patient database or history is not easily accessible to doctors and affects the quality of patient care and repeated prescribing or tests affecting the quality of health care provided and increase in cost and time of treatment. It is easy for a person with criminal intent to hack and to access all the sensitive information and exploit it to the outside world. It is very important to have a highly secured database especially when containing highly confidential information. Patients might not disclose their actual health issues for the fear of losing their privacy and security of their health related information. This project helps in solving the above problem in a more efficient, and price deductive manner with a sole objective of reducing the time and resources which are required for such tasks so the required institution resources may be efficiently utilized. This project attempts to protect the privacy of healthcare records from hackers and also viruses, Trojan horses etc.
